[Broadside] Resolution made by the "Supremo Poder Ejecutivo" -- the interim governing council after Iturbide's abdication -- to levy contributions from the country's various ayuntamientos, i.e. city and town jurisdictions, to be sent quarterly to the federal government in Mexico City. This request comes right on the heals of Iturbide's abandonment of the throne, which came after a 10 year war of independence, so the treasury of Mexico was in a dire crisis and did not have very strong federal powers.
