Broken Chords

Twelve weeks. Twenty cities. Two people figuring out their next move. One bus. What could go wrong?

Ellie O’Leary has known the Ryder Brothers since before they were teen heartthrob-turned-country music icons. As their little sister’s best friend, she’s been along for the ride—from a safe distance, which makes it easy to bury her long-held crush on life-of-the-party Jack. Until now. Now she’s agreed to spend the summer working on the band’s tour and in close proximity to the man who has only gotten better with age.

Jack Ryder has been a household name alongside his brothers since before he could grow a beard. As the trio prepares to take a break to pursue individual projects, Jack is left wondering who he is on his own. While he explores his passion and purpose, he also fights his growing attraction to his little sister’s best friend—the one girl he can’t have but is starting to desperately crave. When their buffer is suddenly gone, the tension in their cramped tour bus reaches a breaking point.

With Ellie uncertain of her future and Jack on a journey of self-discovery, these two have a lot to figure out, including what they want from their connection. Will their budding relationship be able to exist outside of their tour bubble, or are they destined to end when the bus rolls back into Nashville?

Broken Chord is a forced proximity, best friend’s brother, country rockstar romance between a stereotypical middle son and firstborn daughter. Follow along as Jack helps Ellie find her wild, and she helps him find his passion outside of the band. This is the first book in the Ryder Brothers series, which follows the country trio and their siblings as they take on their dreams and find love along the way.
