Denver, CO: Old West, 1973. 1st revised edition, (originally published in 1931), NF/NF. Book and dust jacket have some light wear to spine ends & some edges. 12 b & w illustrations, one map. Includes footnotes , 3 appendices and index. Fitzpatrick arrived in the west in 1823, to travel with General Ashley's famed first expedition up the Missouri River. He worked tirelessly as an explorer, fur trader, guide, advisor, investor, promoter and business partner. He died in 1854, one of the greatest figures of western history during that era. Wonderful story, nice copy.
