Add to basketG+. Wrappers have mild general handling and wear; back wrap has a few spots of gain (i.e. opposite of loss) from some other book once stored next to it, minor. Spine is slightly toned and bears reading creases. Internally, pages are clean and free of names, marks, underlining, dogears, etc. Paper is cheap but only barely age toned, if at all. P. 27-28 has a very old and still effective tape repair that does not impair legibility. From the back wrap: "Fed up with telephones, outboard motors and other snares of civilization, R. D. Symons decides at the age of 42 to quit his job and move himself and his family into the wilds of the Pearce [sic] River country of British Columbia. Slowly, Symons is able to transform his 6,000 acres into a thriving cattle ranch. But first he must rid the land of its previous rulers -- a pack of wolves. But then oil is discovered in a nearby valley and, once again, civilization challenges his peaceful existence. Saddened by the impending change, Symons decides to leave his new home, realizing that the same 'progress' which drove out the wolf, now drives out the man." Note the setting is the Peace River country, misspelled on the wrap, i.e. not "Pearce".

**A word about our shipping rate: ** In comparison to some other sellers, our shipping fees may seem high. We do try to keep our fees in line with current U.S. postal rates and our cost of shipping supplies, both of which increase regularly. The current cost to ship a book weighing up to 1 lb via post office media mail is $4.47. We package books with care, and also use recycled packaging when we can.
U.S. Domestic Priority Mail rates are based on the small flat rate box or flat rate padded envelope. If you choose U.S. Domestic Priority shipping, your rate may be adjusted depending on the size and shape of the book(s) ordered.
The United States Postal Service requires the recipient's full name or a company name. If an order is placed by a purchaser lacking a last name, we will attempt to contact the purchaser by the associated email address to ascertain a last name. In no case will we accept an order, or send a book, without the recipient's last name.
We always issue a tracking number after shipping an order.
International Shipping rates are subject to review, and adjustment before sale is finalized. Orders weighing over 2 lbs will likely require an additional cost.
