Brooklyn Cats Undercover

Perfect for anyone who's ever suspected their pets might have a secret life!

At first glance, Spike and Murphy are just two lazy cats lounging in a Brooklyn window. But, Alana, their sharp-eyed, adventure-loving, almost 10 1/4 year old human is certain her cats are up to something. And when she finally stays up late enough to catch them in the act of TALKING...to pigeons in tiny fedoras no less-she stumbles into the secret mission of a lifetime.

Spike and Murphy aren't just pets. They're part of a secret network of animals protecting New York City. In this adventure they need Alana's help to save one of the last original trees in the City and the magical agreement that keeps the city's parks and gardens safe.

From a quiet Brooklyn community garden to the dazzling lights of Times Square, Alana and her feline partners must race against time, uncovering secrets, and teaming up with some very unexpected allies.

Author Bio - Randy Frank is a born-and-bred New Yorker who spent over 40 years in the corporate world, crafting stories through marketing, sales, and strategy. But behind the business plans was always a different kind of story-one filled with magic, talking animals, and the streets of Brooklyn she knows by heart. In her debut middle grade novel, Brooklyn Cats Undercover, Randy draws inspiration from her daughter Alana and their two suspiciously lazy (but extremely clever) cats. It's a celebration of city life, family, imagination, and the idea that some of the best adventures happen when you slow down and look a little closer.Randy still lives in New York, where she's traded PowerPoints for pigeons in fedoras-and finally given her inner storyteller the last word (for now).
