Brothers of the Wander Path: The Adventures of Shiner Dan and Young Remlap Poovey by Daryl P. and Linda R. Brown Shiner Dan and Remlap Poovey are two drifters traveling across the country, by rail and by foot. They become Brothers of the Wander Path and Knights of the Road as they travel along their way.. In over thirty years of adventures, they meet many interesting people, some famous and some just ordinary people, some kind-hearted and giving, other sneaky and low-down. Good or bad, all they meet influence their lives. Their adventures include hard times, moon shining, lost loves, revenge, Blues legions and true friendship.. "There's a lot to be said about the people you meet riding the rails. Every one of them has his or her own story. Sometimes they tell you their story and sometimes you get to be a part of their story, whether you want to or not." Daniel L. Martin aka Shiner Dan 1943
