About this Item
A French romantic song from the early 1800s. No date, circa 1830. Folded sheet has chipped and torn edges and light soil and dampstaining. Edouard Bruguiere was a composer of some popularity in France. The cover lithograph, captioned "C'est le Clocher de Mon Village", is of a man waving his hat to a village with a steeple in the distance. Previous owner's name in upper corner and two original stamps at lower front, one of the publisher Frere and one with the price of 5c, "Seine", and a Roman figure on it.
