The Brownings and America. By Elizabeth Porter Gould and printed in Boston by the Poet-Lore Company. 1904, 115 pp, 7.75 x 5.25 , hardcover green cloth. In overall very good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to eagles and corners of boards and spine. Lettering to exterior remains well-preserved. Hinges are in good condition and text block is bound well. Gilt top fore edges to pages. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and beautifully preserved copy on the Browning family, a collection of writers, activists, and ardent abolitionists who were most influential during the mid-1800s.
