John D. Luerssen (Westfield, NJ) was given his first two Springsteen albums, Born to Run and The River, as a gift by his grandmother Emily on Christmas Day 1980. Luerssen is the author of Rivers' Edge: The Weezer Story (ECW 2004) and U2 FAQ: Anything You'd Want to Know About the Biggest Band in The World... and More (Backbeat Books 2010).
