Buddha: Life and Work of the Forerunner in India

Book by Grail Foundation Press

With beauty and grace, this book creates images of the life of Buddha so that when reading it, one experiences his life as if in living pictures. The story unfolds naturally and is easy and compelling to read. Buddha's relationship to God is clearly defined, and it reveals both the events of his outward life and his inner spiritual development.

The reader sees how Buddha was helped by the events in his life, many of which seemed on the surface to be great misfortune. However, it was through overcoming suffering that Buddha came to the recognition of his life's purpose. His misfortune turned into his greatest help. As a sage of the Word of Truth, he worked in the midst of his people, whom he wished to lead away from a life that submitted indolently to fate, to one activated by conviction.
