It’s difficult to argue the fact that, when personal finances spiral out of control, there is no peace to be had in life. Learning to budget and stick to it is a major step toward a happier, more fulfilling life—but it’s just one of many steps. Achieving personal success requires much more than making as much money as possible and keeping track of it. It takes a serious devotion to finding the areas of your life that are a consistent source of peace.
In Budget, Budget, Budget: A Method on Finding Peace within Your Life, author and economist George FitzGerald guides you on a journey toward developing ways to take care of your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. This comes through accurately budgeting your finances as well as budgeting time for the pursuit of inner peace and living in the moment, so you can experience true happiness.
Learn how to define problems, devise solutions, make the best choices, and perhaps most importantly, how to pinpoint the right time to ask for assistance. Following these guidelines reduces life’s complexities into new habits that will pave the way to the success and happiness you desire.
George FitzGerald is a retired economic analyst, geologist, college mathematics teacher, and multimillion-dollar mining and environmental project leader. The grandson of a Teddy Roosevelt Medal recipient, FitzGerald grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, and in 1968, he was the first geology graduate from California’s Humboldt State University. Over the following four decades, he completed graduate courses in economic analysis for project success at the Colorado School of Mines while working for private companies and state governments.
FitzGerald has a passion for writing about the pursuit of peace in life and a good understanding of physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and financial knowledge. He is a Stephen Minister, and he lives with his wife, Joy, in Loveland, Colorado, where they enjoy bowling and visits with their family and friends.
