Reviews
Grade 3-5-- Unusual projects using recycled materials found around the home are described here. Irvine gives directions for creating a puppet stage, a giant dragon, and a fort out of corrugated boxes. Readers can learn to make costumes, dioramas, puppets, and a musical band from lightweight cartons. Each project includes a list of materials needed; the introduction provides helpful tips and explanations of symbols. Well-illustrated, step-by-step instructions are easy to follow; decorating ideas are included. A minimum of adult guidance is needed. --Suzanne Lippencott, Nichols Library, Naperville, IL
