Builder s Guide to Bolt-Together Street Rods

Nothing is as much fun on a warm summer day as Roadster and going out for a drive- especially if it's a car that you built yourself! If you're reading this, you've thought about buying or building a street rod of your own. The good news is this: building a street rod is easier today than it's ever been. The street rod industry has developed all the parts you need- rolling chassis, reproduction bodies, crate motors, wiring kits-to assemble a complete street rod, assembled from all-new parts, in your garage, using basic tools. No welding, no cutting, no fabricating. Just bolt it together, paint it and GO! In this book, Bruce Caldwell guides you through the process of planning, buying, and assembling your bolt-together street rod. His expert advice will help you avoid common pitfalls like cost overruns, choosing the wrong car, buying the wrong parts, or just plain getting in over your head. He'll show you how to build a car that's fun, dependable, and popular, in a way that won't break your budget. The book ends with an extensive source guide to companies and associations that can help you get a street rod on the road. If you've ever wanted to build a street rod, this is the book that can get you started!
