Volume covers with light wear and areas of green color transfer from cloth to leather [no signs of moisture or damp staining], else unmarked. An uncommon title inThe Science of Railways series. From the introduction ". the reader must not infer that the building and maintaining of railroads is treated superficially or only partially in this volume. On the contrary I have taken up the subject in order and fully as if nothing had ever been said in regard to it before.".
