Built for T.H.A.T: How to Listen, Act, and Think with Heart

This book presents a leadership philosophy forged in the Arkansas Delta and distilled into the T.H.A.T. Framework. It combines Dr. Micheal Stone's personal journey of overcoming adversity with practical strategies for creating a meaningful legacy.

The T.H.A.T. Framework

• Thorough: Practicing deep preparation and attention to detail.

• Heart-centric: Leading with empathy and building trust through genuine connection.

• Authentic: Aligning actions with core values and maintaining transparency.

• Thinking: Prioritizing strategic reflection over reactive decision-making.

Key Narrative

Dr.Stone illustrates these principles through experience as Superintendent in Lee County, where he uses heart-centric and strategic leadership to revive a struggling school district. By addressing systemic issues—like teacher retention and community distrust—Dr. Stone proves that these values drive tangible results.

The Goal

The book serves as a call to action, providing readers with journaling prompts and exercises to move from theory to practice. It argues that by living intentionally, anyone can overcome adversity and create a lasting, positive impact on their community.
