20th edition of this amazing book. Part cookbook, part history book, part.? I would love to see an annotated copy of this where someone has gone through and fact-checked the whole thing. It is a fun and fantastic read, at the very least. This is a copy in an odd condition. It's the softcover bound in gold covers with some wear to the edges, but someone has drilled four holes through the book. My best guess is that they were drilling holes in something else on top of it, but I really have no idea. It is still a very readable copy. The interior is very clean, just.holey. What appear to be smudges on the exterior I believe to actually be rubbing that took off the "gold" layer of the cover. See the photos. It's one heck of a book.

We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the Abebooks web sites. All books shipped will be the books pictured in our listing. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase (Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged) or if the order hasn't arrived, you're eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. International customers:
Because International shipping is variable at the moment, we found it difficult to come up with a rate that we were confident would cover all shipments for any length of time. That is why our flat rate is set so high. If you would like to order from us, please contact us directly ahead of time so that we can confirm correct shipping rates.
All customers:
Our shipping priority is to get your books to you in the same condition they were when they left. This generally involves the book being wrapped multiple times, with at least one of the layers being water-resistant. There will be a layer of cardboard. If it is in a box, there will be packing materials inserted to keep it from moving about.
Our secondary priority is to recycle shipping materials. This means that the cardboard keeping your book safe may have writing on it, or may have remnants of tape or earlier labels, or branding. The water-resistant layer around your book may have had an earlier life as a shopping bag. Anything used to pack your purchase will have been examined and found to be clean.
Should you prefer to have all brand-new materials used in the packing of your order, let us know. There will be a $1.00 surcharge added toward the purchase of new materials.
