On October 5th, 2020, Hannah M. Smith was shot protecting her daughters Harper and Palmer. She survived. What followed was five years of Georgia family courts, wrongful arrest, sanctions, and retaliation that continue today. This collection is her record. Hannah M. Smith is a mother, survivor, pro se litigant, and author. On October 5th, 2020, she was shot while protecting her daughters Harper and Palmer. She taught herself family law, wrote her own appellant briefs, and has been fighting for her daughters for five years. She has contributed to Medium on justice and faith, served as an observer to the Uniform Law Commission's Judicial Interview of Children Act drafting committee, and she is a contributing author to the forthcoming anthology 50 States: Moms Without Due Process, currently in progress. She is also the author of The Adventures of Harper, Palmer and Their Dog Walter.
