Illustrated with two small text drawings and one full-page combat image. ALSO: intense cover illustration of an attack on a bunker. VERY GOOD condition. [++] Note: written in cursive stenographic German. WorldCat locates three copies: Stanford Hoover Institution; NIOD (Inst for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Amsterdam); and Erfgoedbibliotheek, Antwerp. Original wrappers. [++] Provenance: Library of Congress, with their small stamp "Pamphlet Collections" on the front cover and their surplus stamp on the rear. [++] ALSO, before the LC: the rubber stamp for the "collecting" program of significant published material during WWII, "The Interdepartmental Committee for the Acquisition of Foreign Publications". The (IDC) was a World War II-era United States committee that collected foreign publications for intelligence purposes, similar to the Library of Congress Mission to Europe (Enemy Publications Collection Program) sometimes referred to as part of the U.S. Documents and Publications Collection Program, conducted with support from the OSS, Army Intelligence, and FIAT/CIOS.[++] "This small, rare volume describes German victory at the Stalin Line during World War II.
