The Burger Monster: A Fun Rhyming Picture Book Perfect for Bedtime and Young Readers (Purpley-Pink House)

"In a purple house not far from here
(I don't know where, but I've heard it's near)
there lives a funny boy named Andy,
who likes burgers much more than candy."

And so begins this delightfully silly picture book by prize-winning artist/author MK Grassi. Follow Andy (and his little sister Camille) on his quest to eat lots of bizarre burgers!

If your children like stories by Sandra Boyton, Mercer Mayer, Dr Seuss or Maurice Sendak then they will love this enchanting book, which features:

* beautiful color illustrations that will captivate your children
* a warmhearted, humorous story with a surprising "feel good" twist at the end
* simple, gently rhyming text that will engage your children and sustain their interest

The Burger Monster is aimed at kids aged 2 - 8, but older and younger ones will enjoy it too! Your children will giggle and want to see, hear and read this story over and over with you.

MK (Richard) Grassi lives in north-central Japan with his wife Noriko, 2 sons, 3 in-laws, 2 dogs, and a Japanese rice fish named Mr Medaka. MK wrote and illustrated "The Burger Monster" and "The Peanut Butter Princess" with his sons Masaya and Kousuke, who have eaten many of the strange foods mentioned in the books. MK also illustrated the "Goobee Da Loon" series (written by Seth Bernanke). MK writes nonfiction books too. "Let's Eat Bugs!" was inspired by his experience of eating grasshoppers (fried with sugar and soy sauce) at a local restaurant.
