Synopsis
By day, Cat Cuevas is a tenacious organizational development consultant, business owner, and feminine leadership evangelist. By night, she is a glittery, glamorous vixen, and co-owner of the internationally acclaimed Sinner Saint Burlesque troupe. Join Cat on an intimate journey to explore the inheritance of women, and to deliberate over the most important questions of the century: Can society learn to exalt, celebrate, and integrate the feminine? Can women learn to insist on their self-worth? Can we declare a new legacy for the feminine? Inspired by Sinner Saint’s show-stopping production, Inheritance: Maiden, Mother, Crone, Cat interviewed an eclectic group of women who are pioneering the folklore of their souls, and answering these questions for themselves. Take a raw and unapologetic look at how their sex and gender have shaped who they are and what their legacy is. Then, adventure into the stories of your own mythology, and answer these questions for yourself. Are you ready to declare a new inheritance for women? In Burlesque and Bequest, Cat Cuevas shares her inspiration for examining the inheritance of women and creating this book, including: • the list of lies that she inherited about what it means to be a woman • how she has learned more about feminine leadership by being an exotic dancer than from all the business journals and books she's ever read • why she thinks stories are the next form of revolution Relish the refreshingly honest and authentic reflections of nine women delving into what it means to be a woman today. Then, follow the reflective guide to explore the inherited stories that influence your life, liberty, and happiness.
