The Burnt Sunset

Solstice Dayton and the boy of her dreams race to meet in an apocalyptic wildfire before armed gangs and the infected ruin everything.

With America ablaze, survivors are fleeing west, losing their humanity, their hope, and their clothes along the way. In the desolation, Solstice learns three hard truths: the government let everyone she knew burn, survivors are doomed to decay in the daze virus, and her only hope is to evolve faster than the apocalypse can catch up.

In book 2 of The Burnt Sunset series, Solstice Dayton is the girl in the apocalypse, which is not nearly as glamorous as it sounds. Armed gangs want to mate with her, and zombie-like dazers would like to have her for lunch. Then stuff gets weird. Apparently, she’s a princess and parts of her body glow. The boy would love to do nothing more than to save Solstice, but he’s got issues too: bullies, the infected want to hang with him, and his fingers are really tingly.
