the scarce first British edition; published from the American sheets; pictorial paper covered boards with reddish brown linen spine; 29 unnumbered leaves (58 pages) with full colour cartoons on the recto side of the pages; versos are blank; 10 by 15.75 inches; Richard Felton Outcault (1863-1928) is considered to be one of America's greatest cartoonists having achieved fame for his characters Buster Brown and the Yellow Kid; shelf wear and nicks at edges with some creasing; one rounded tip; damp mark at bottom right corner; illustrated throughout with full colour cartoons.
