About the Author

David Morisset is the pen name of an Australian writer who grew up in Riverstone, which was then a meatworks town on Sydney's semi-rural western fringe. He moved to Canberra to study at the Australian National University and chose to roam the world, first as a diplomat and later as an economist. David now lives on the Central Coast north of Sydney. Over recent years he has published 'Old Shemiran Road', a novel set in Iran, as well as collections of short stories and poems. His poem, 'Persian Princess', was commended in the John Shaw Neilson Poetry Award (2009 Fellowship of Australian Writers National Literary Awards).
