When author Phyllis Calvey heard story after story of how God used the sign of a butterfly to comfort those grieving the loss of a loved one, she set out to gather as many of those stories as she could find. Compiled together, these tales from people who share a common spiritual experience involving a butterfly—The Butterfly Club—answer the age-old question, “Does God speak to us?”

Phyllis Calvey is a writer, speaker, educator, and storyteller with over thirty years of experience in pastoral ministry and religious education. She and her musician/songwriter husband formed The Lighthouse Ministry in 1992 through which they seek to enlighten people in their journey with God by using a presentation format based on stories and songs.

A previously published author with three books and six workbooks to her credit, Calvey currently lives with her husband in Bellingham, Massachusetts, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and bountiful garden.
