Buttons and Blackmail

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia...

Just when Sadie Sexton is starting to settle into her new routine in Hoochville, she learns of a decades’ old secret that her grandmother’s friends have been keeping from her. Now it’s up to her and Clementine Parker to help Marcia Murphy, a woman in need, escape town. Marcia has one request on her way out of town; she begs Sadie and Clem to check on her prized Chinese Crested show dog.

Everything goes to hell in a handbasket when Sadie and Clem arrive at Marcia’s residence and find Daniel Murphy’s dead body in the yard. Now Marcia is the number one suspect in his murder, and Sadie and Clem might just be on the hook for aiding and abetting a murderer if they can’t get Marcia to come back to town.

With a power-hungry DA on the case, Sadie and her friends find themselves navigating the world of competitive show dogs while trying to discover what happened to Daniel. And they quickly find out that confronting blue-ribbon-hungry dog owners is almost as hairy as trying to stay out of prison.

"Nothing beats small towns for good friends, good times, and secrets. You’ll get all of them in the Sadie Sexton Hoochville Mysteries. Come join the fun." Jana DeLeon, New York Times bestselling author.

“Sadie and her crew are hysterical, adventurous, and get into some crazy shenanigans... Fans of Jana DeLeon and Angie Fox will find this series as addictive as theirs. The southern references are comical, and the age range for the cast of characters make this likable for all generations. Can't wait for the next adventure!!!!” ~ Goodreads Reviewer
