What happens when modern C++ stops being just a language—and becomes an engineering discipline?
Have you ever looked at advanced C++ code and wondered how elite developers build software that is not only fast, but scalable, precise, and engineered to perform under real-world pressure? Have you wanted to go beyond syntax and truly understand how modern C++ is used to design systems that are dependable, efficient, and future-ready?
The C++26 Codex was written for developers who are ready to move past the basics and master the deeper architecture of modern C++.
C++ has always been powerful. But with C++26, that power reaches a new level. The language continues to evolve with more expressive compile-time capabilities, stronger abstractions, and smarter ways to build software that performs at scale. The question is: how do you harness all of it with confidence?
This book answers that.
Anthony M. Carson takes you deep into the advanced engineering side of C++26 with a practical and conversational approach that helps complex topics feel approachable without sacrificing depth. Instead of simply introducing features, this book explores why they matter, where they fit into real systems, and how experienced developers use them to build software that lasts.
How do modern memory models affect the safety and performance of your code?
What changes when compile-time programming becomes a central design strategy instead of an occasional optimization?
How do you architect high-performance software that remains readable, maintainable, and efficient at scale?
Inside these pages, you’ll explore the techniques and principles behind advanced systems programming using the newest capabilities of C++26. You’ll gain a clearer understanding of modern memory behavior, concurrency-aware design, performance-driven development, compile-time architecture, and the patterns used to engineer robust software in demanding environments.
This book is designed for developers who want more than surface-level explanations. It is for engineers who want clarity around advanced concepts, stronger architectural instincts, and a deeper command of modern C++ as both a language and a professional tool.
Whether you work in systems development, performance-critical applications, infrastructure, embedded environments, or simply want to stay ahead of the evolution of C++, this book gives you a focused path toward mastery.
Because mastering C++26 isn’t only about writing code that compiles.
It’s about writing software that thinks ahead, performs under pressure, and reflects the standards of modern engineering.
If you’re ready to sharpen your expertise, deepen your understanding of advanced C++, and build with the full power of the newest standard—
Start reading The C++26 Codex today and take your place at the leading edge of modern C++ engineering.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
