Wood III, Cambridge, 2003, large paper deluxe edition, #48 of 50 copies, printed on hand made rag paper. Illustrated with b&w photographs and reproductions, and a b&w foldout map. 7.5" x 11". 60 pp. Quarter bound, with a green morocco spine, patterned green paper covered boards, angling bookplate of Ron Swanson. Reprinted from a two part article in 'Murray's Magazine', 1887. "Not only is it written by a woman, it is a lively and engaging fishing story that takes place on a storied salmon river, New Brunswick and Quebec's legendary Restigouche, and the most famous spot on that river, the Patapedia Pool" (Wood). Composed of a very good 16 page footnoted historical essay by Peter Thomas, the 35 page story of a successful fishing trip and a 6 page afterword by W.M. Carter. A well designed book, printed on letter press. Mint in mint slipcase.
