First published in 1792, this was Nicholson's first book. It was a standard text for over eighty years. Samuel Sloan redrew the plates for this edition. The frontispiece of an Italian villa was added here. There are also several plates on building staircases by William Johnston. Sporadic light foxing, el a nice copy 5545. Seller Inventory # 5545
