CASE STUDY OF FRANCH EXPRESS COURIER PVT. LTD: INNOVATIONS IN LAST-MILE DELIVERY SOLUTIONS IN URBAN COURIER LOGISTICS

In today’s digital and e-commerce-driven world, the demand for fast, reliable, and efficient delivery has increased significantly. The “last-mile delivery” — the final leg of the logistics journey where the parcel moves from a distribution center or hub to the customer’s doorstep — has become the most critical and challenging aspect of logistics operations. It directly influences customer satisfaction, operational cost efficiency, and brand reputation. In urban areas, the challenges of last-mile delivery are amplified by factors such as traffic congestion, narrow delivery windows, parking restrictions, and the rising expectations of customers for same-day or next-day delivery. These issues have driven courier and logistics companies in India to adopt innovative solutions like route optimization, real-time tracking, Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD), and green delivery models.
