About this Item

Reprint, no date. Beige boards, dark brown lettering. Nothing special, EXCEPT that one day Herbert Leon MacDonell, inventor of the now much-used fingerprinting method using black dust came into our store, gave us his super business card complete with "blood spatters," and signed this copy with his name, his patent number, "the inventor," and his FINGERPRINT, opposite page 34, where Mason and Drake discuss the new method of fingerprinting invented by MacDonell Associates of Corning, New York. (Page 35.) Business card is enclosed. This should be of particular interest to those who specialize in mysteries and are on the lookout for something unique. The book is clean but for a small faint smudge and two smaller faint smudges, with a very small blackout and "X" on front free endpaper, and is tight and unworn. The original jacket is moderately to heavily worn and scuffed. Bookseller Inventory # 902283
