Add to basketLittle, Brown and Company, Boston, 1951 First Edition, First Printing,: A near fine/very good plus clean first printing book with a near fine first printing original dust jacket in the second state (The second state is determined by a small bit of space over Salinger's head on the rear panel) . The near fine/very good plus book has black cloth with gilt titles to the spine that show the common fading to the titles. The book has sharp corners and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. Slight toning to the black cloth. The end papers are clean and bright with no inscriptions, no book plates and no bookstore stamps. The interior pages are clean, and unusually bright, with no marks, no stains, no handling marks, no bent pages and no writing, and the outer page block remains bright. An overall solid, beautiful, clean book. Please see images. The original first edition, jacket has benefited from slight restoration to the outer spine tips and presents in near fine condition with but some of the common fading to the spine colors. The jacket has no edgewear, no chips, no stains, no rubbing, no rips, and no foxing. The jacket is the first printing, second state jacket with the slight space over Salinger's head on the rear panel.
