Probable second edition (not stated but per OCLC). 190 pages. Hardcover: H 23.75cm x L 15.5cm. No dust jacket. Red cloth soiled and rubbed; cloth losses at frayed spine ends and board corners; front board's gilt lettering remains bright. Marbled endpapers. Older ink inscriptions of two past owners on front free endpaper verso; modern ink note on front flyleaf recto; Various items laid-in: {#1} between pages 36-37 is twelve page (single-sided sheets) typescript essay "Nathaniel Ragan Holliday" plus additional torn lined sheet with handwritten pencil descent chart; {#2} at pages 40-41 are thirteen pages of ink and pencil notes transcribed from a Beard-Lawson family bible; {#3} also at pages 40-41 are nine pages of birth-death records, etc. transcribed from Dickerson-Holliday family bible. Some scattered light foxing and soiling to interior pages. Binding stressed at title page and at laid-in sheets but otherwise firm. With b/w plates on unpaged leaves. Evidently this 1921 edition is expanded from a 1919 edition which OCLC indicates had merely 98 pages.…
