Neuware -Periodontal disease has a high prevalence in many countries. The early detection of periodontal disease is important in preventing tooth loss, and subsequently, maintaining the patient¿s general health. The current diagnostic approaches including clinical probing and intraoral radiography have shown several limitations in their reliability. Conventional diagnostic methods for periodontal disease include probing gingival tissues and performing radiographs to evaluate bony support. Radiographs give us information about the amount and type of alveolar bone defect.
