CEO - Chief Execution Officer

CEO as ‘Chief Execution Officer’ ties in with the examination of a CEO's activities. Mintzberg's 1973 study has been repeated by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and continues to show highly fragmented activities that are very time-consuming. It is clear that CEOs spend little time on strategic tasks and spend a large part of their time in meetings. The book approaches the role of CEO from a cultural perspective and humorously shows how CEOs have been experienced in consultations. Titles such as ‘Symbols and rituals on the carpet floor’, ‘Above the clouds...freedom is boundless...above all the treetops there is peace’, "From unconscious incompetence to unconscious competence... across the bridge of conscious incompetence‘ and ’Long live the principles" lead into a world of experience that demystifies the role of the CEO, but also raises awareness of the fascination of this work. The stories told are true, even if they sometimes seem almost unbelievable. They are based on 25 years of experience as a consultant at the highest management level in medium-sized to large companies.
