832p; 48p Christmas number. Ex-library; REBOUND. A hardcover book that has been rebound in light grey buckram with marbled boards, retaining the original leather spine labels. These labels are chipped, but legible. Edges scuffed and boards chafed. Small library stamps on some pages, but no library marks on exterior. Text otherwise unmarked, and binding tight. A sturdy copy in good reading condition. Volume 11 of CHAMBERS'S JOURNAL (6th series), a weekly British literary magazine. Contains all issues from December 7, 1907 through November 28, 1908, plus the extra Christmas number. Includes an editorial titled "Do We Eat Too Much?", an article about ancient toys at the British Museum, and a story called "The Treasure-Maid" by Edwin L. Arnold, author of GULLIVER OF MARS, which was adapted by Marvel Comics in the 1970s. Seller Inventory # 186533
