Blind-stamped cloth covers in various colours: 2 blue, 1 green, 1 maroon, all edges edges gilt. Only 'Diffusion of Knowledge' dated - 1871 - but clearly issued as a set so, although much re-issued by Collins I assume this dates from mid-late 1870s. An exceptionally good set with no obvious faults - all unmarked, clean and minimally worn inside and out, a few tiny flecks to some edges and top covers. Paginations on request, no additional publisher's material such as adverts or lists. Seller Inventory # 009060
