Small broadsheet printed on both sides. Chromolithograph floral illustration to recto. 7" x 5-3/8" Chromolithograph 1876 trade card by L. Prang & Co. featuring a floral arrangement surrounding an 1877 calendar, with a priced list of 12 collections of small plants for sale for $1.00 and other advertising to the verso. These collections include: "5 Roses, 7 Plants, and 6 Packets fine Flower Seeds"; "10 House, Window and Parlor Plants"; "10 Fuschias, distinct, choice kinds"; "10 Greenhouse Ornamental Foliaged Plants"; as well as various collections of geraniums, ferns, verbenas, etc. Greives & Co. had a florist shop in New York, and grew its plants at the Greenbrook and Paterson City Nurseries, in Preakness and Paterson, NJ. In addition to the fairly common varieties listed above, the company also offers "Elegant Ornamental Plants, such as Variegated Aloes and Yuccas, Noble Palms and Musas, Beautiful Camellias and Lapagerias . . . [and] Rare and Choice Orchids, Macantas, Ixoras, Crotons" and more. Vertical fold line, very moderate wear. VG+. Stiff cardstock printed in color to the recto, brown text printed to verso.
