Third edition with many additional articles and carefully revised throughout. ***Very good in dark green blind embossed cloth-covered boards, with gilt titles, blind rules and borders to the spine, and a blind embossed floral design and double borders to front board. Pale lemon coloured front and rear free endpapers. Edges of boards slightly rubbed. Head and tail of spine rubbed and frayed. Tiny holes to cloth at edges of spine. Corners of boards slightly bumped. Pages clean. No inscriptions. ***190 mm x 124 mm. vii prelim pages including three-page preface by the author written Leeds, March 22, 1842, 567 pages plus 12-page publisher's catalogue to rear. ***Third edition revised with much additional material. An early antiquarian 1843 edition of Water Farquhar Hook's 'A Church Dictionary' in complete condition, in the original cloth-covered boards.
