Book has been rebound in cloth and boards which are now bumped and grubby, but still sturdy. Half-title is partially detached but binding otherwise good. Block is darkened with grubby edges, light foxing to some pages. Gold/silver/copper printed plates are still bright and pop-out silver card coin obverse and reverse at rear is still present. The 'Victoria Crown Piece by Barclay's process' plate is also present. Original dark red calf, expertly rebacked at some time, marbled endpapers, with coin and onlay decoration on front board.
