Original staple-stitched illustrated card wrappers; 72, [8] pp. Light soil and foxing to wrappers; some annotations in ink to front wrapper; else very good. Surprisingly rare catalog of this influential Russian émigré publishing house, which was active in New York in 1952-1956 and sponsored by the Ford Foundation through its East European Fund. The catalog provides a full listing of titles with synopses of the books. Of special interest are volumes by authors that were not published in the Soviet Union in this period, such as by Mikhail Bulgakov, Osip Mandelstam, and Vladimir Nabokov, as well as memoirs by significant members of the émigré community, such as Pavel Miliukov, the minister of Foreign Affairs of the post-revolutionary provisional government.
