32 pages. 26 x 19 cm. Nearly 100 years ago Waterbury, CT population had skyrocketed to over 100,000 people - nearly half of the city's population was foreign-born. A massive industrial boom was all due to tens of thousands of workers filling the factories of Waterbury - known as the "Brass City." This community cookbook is filled with recipes attributed to community members - includes German, Italian, and Cuban cuisine. Local advertising throughout. Tan wraps, tan string. Very good.
