The books are more or less in identical condition so the description I give applies to both. The books have straight spine, sharp corners and lightly softened spine ends, with bright boards. The books are tightly bound with sunning to the edges of the brown end papers and owner inscription to the front end paper. There is toning to the page edges, but the interior text block is clean. The title page confirms the year of publication as 1869. Part I covers pages 1-369 and part II pages 370 to 854.

Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. ALL UK parcels are tracked. if you live outside the UK tracking is NOT provided unless you choose priority mail. PRIORITY MAIL TRACKING IS IMMEDIATELY UPDATED otherwise I will only update ABE with UK tracking details on request, and only when 10 working days has passed. There will be times when, due to the value of the book, I will insist on priority mail and this will be clearly stated in my listing. If you ignore this, your order will be refused.
