Blue boards, upper board and spine titled in gilt. Inscription, browning of end-papers. Very good in used dust-wrapper. "Almost every young rustic who develops into a poacher has some such outdoor education as that sketched [here]. He has about him much ready animal ingenuity, and is capable of almost infinite resource." This classic of nineteenth century poaching includes one lengthy chapter on salmon and trout poaching. A great read for every young rustic of infinite resource. This edition, edited by Geoff R. Worrall, does not credit John Watson as author, and omits Watson's short Editorial Note. .
