Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the face of Europe has changed. And with that, German literature has changed as well. In Confluencias, authors share their distinct views and opinions on the culture of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, creating a narrative that blends aesthetics and experiences of the richest diversity. This selection from Cecilia Dreymüller presents 20 unpublished pieces from some of the most significant writers of the German language, including Xavier Bayer, Sherko Fatah, Peter Handke, Herta Müller, Gregor Sander, and others.
