CONTEMPORARY RUGS Art and Design

The book begins by charting the evolution of rug design over the last 100 years, before featuring innovative rugs by more than 50 contemporary international designers. With biographies of key designers and producers of the last 30 years, a technical glossary, and an international directory of sources and resources, Contemporary Rugs: Art and Design is simply indispensable to designers, collectors, architects and anyone interested in textile design.

Christopher Farr and Matthew Bourne have been the most influential pioneers in the recent renaissance in contemporary rugs. They are co-directors of the London-based rug design and production company Christopher Farr.
