Son una sátira político-social en las que se censuran los vicios que corrompen la corte de Enrique IV de Castilla, tienen gran valor histórico pues reflejan admirablemente el panorama licencioso de la vida en este tiempo, y dieron lugar a un nuevo género literario, posteriormente muy desarrollado.
