Black cloth covers. xx+276; near pristine bar bumps to outer corners of fr.covers; unclipped jacket has a few sm.surface marks to back and a sm.triangular chip from bottom edge, hint of discoloration to spine and top edges, wrinkling at outer corners where bumped and sl.outward to top edge, this is all less serious than it sounds for being listed but does reduce it below VG. 9 main chapters mostly on methodological aspects of the study of kinship, witchcraft and the like, with a final Part on the 'Rhodes-Livingstone Institute Census Card', plus references and bibliography of further texts on fieldwork.
