CRAVING FREEDOM: The R4 Method for Overcoming Food Addiction

‘All over the media there are raging debates about junk food and I’ve shuddered, watching so called experts declare that overweight unhealthy people should not be allowed to purchase junk food.

That is not helpful in tackling the problem and clearly, more awareness is needed. I believe that more preventative work should be done, rather than waiting until the horse has bolted.

There must be more compassion around the subject, with much more awareness raised, and training for more people to become coaches in food addiction. Those who suffer from this disorder need help to create a better relationship with self and food. I learned from Dr Aboaba that food addiction has the same elements, signs and symptoms as alcohol addiction and it is so good to see her spreading the light.

I am glad she has written this book and I absolutely concur with her mission to change the conversation around holistic health, especially around food addiction and emotional eating.’

‘Building on her own experience, Bunmi explores the root causes of addiction and outlines an approach to recovery, using straightforward language. She also provides the tools and techniques for you to create an individual recovery plan for yourself. There are no quick wins in this book – rather an approach for learning to love and accept yourself for long term change.’
