Grey boards with grey cloth spine, black lettering to fr. & sp. col. image centre fr. , pristine in protective acetate wrap-around sleeve. t.p. with col. figs centre recto and verso + 32 + 24 + 28 + 34 + 32 + 26 + 18 + 52, the 8 poems each open with a separate t.p., inc. in pag. with a central col. ills, small col. woodcuts throughout inc. head-pieces, 'tayle' pieces, most are on page facing text virtually throughout, top and bottom each text-page and occ. in text.; the only fault is edge-tanning throughout, which may be common to all copies as due to paper quality. The original series was published by Field & Tuer etc. in London and Scribner & Welford, New York. The illustrations are all original and though not all coloured when issued separately those in this edition are from a hand-cooloured original. 23 cm x 28.5 cm.
