Lavish trade catalogue from the Chicago-based company specializing in custom-designed and exquisitely crafted marble altars and furnishings for churches. Quarto: 429, [2, index], [1, blank] pp. with and illuminated frontispiece and 2 text pages, all color halftones, as well as a copyright vignette and 408 plates, all halftones after photographs, and 2 marble sample pages, both color halftones after photographs. The title page and text pages are printed in red, gray, and black, with page borders printed in red and gray. In the publisher's brown flat-weave cloth binding, with dark brown-stamped ruled borders, strapwork surround with floral ornamental infill and ecclesiastical devices, and overall "Cordova leather" pattern field, and gilt-embossed decorative titling on the front panel; dark brown-stamped ornamental bands, strapwork and floral compartments, and altar vignette, and gilt-stamped decorative titling on the spine; and dark brown-stamped overall "Cordova leather" pattern. All edges gilt, with brown endpapers with dark brown-printed diaper and ornament pattern with central altar vignette. Some general edgewear to the boards; otherwise very good.
